Many young (and older) city dwellers dream of a life in the countryside. Of a quieter life, a life closer to nature, of a slow life with less distraction. When these dreams become concrete, the ideas and romantic visions of countryside life often get saturated with fears: What is life in a rural area really like? Would people accept me and - perhaps more importantly - would I find friends there? Where would I go if I wanted to get to know people and would I find cultural offers and social spaces in the vastness of rural regions where I could feel comfortable and meet like-minded people? — M.Hubauer, K.Spanlang, from the abstract
